Any success with Reshade?

Hey guys!

I wonder if you could make Reshade work with Garry's Mod. Sadly, it doesn't work for me. The game doesn't even start if I try to use it.

I'm pretty sure, I installed it fine, tried to do the same steps on Half-Life 2 and yeah, it works fine! Even MXAO and other depth buffer using shaders work with disabled GUI.

I wonder if there exist a solution, or it's not possible to make it work. I really would love to use some MXAO on it. With proper settings, I didn't get too much FPS loss in HL2 using MXAO, FXAA and some other effects.

Anyone could make it work?

still looking for help? I tried installing reshade ona nother source game and what i did to fix it was move the file d3d9.dll to the bin folder (Assuming you installed dx9 libs). If theres a file called d3d9.ini move that to the bin folder too.

also this may mess up filepaths so check the filepaths in reshades overlay settings menu to see if they go to the bin folder. if they do change it to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\reshade-shaders\Shaders
for shaders and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\reshade-shaders\textures
for textures

it doesnt mention that filepaths might glitch out and u might need to manually fix it like i tried to say

Just copy the hl2.exe and put it in the bin folder, and when you install it you click on the hl2.exe inside of the bin folder

So to make that work you need to install reshade to exe called vvis.exe
\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin <----- here is the exe, it worked for me
