FPS Increase Tips?

I have a AMD A4-6210 APU with 3 GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon R3 graphics card. I run GMOD at all low settings on 800x600 resolution and gain around 20-10 FPS on the main server I play on. Is there any way I can increase my FPS? (Note: I have already done some autoexec.cfg changes)

Not sure what your autoexec.cfg contains, but you can try adding this to your launch options in GMod:

+gmod_mcore_test 1 +cl_threaded_bone_setup 1 +cl_threaded_bone_setup 1 +cl_threaded_client_leaf_system 1 +r_threaded_client_shadow_manager 1 +r_threaded_particles 1 +r_threaded_renderables 1 +r_queued_ropes 1


Keep your addon count low, and use more efficient and properly optimized maps.

Try switching to the 64bit beta in the GMod properties too, and worst comes to worst get off Windows and get on something that isn't bloated. My PC is substantially more powerful than yours (albiet still not high end, and still quite old) and my games ran far worse than when I switched off of it.

This may or may not break your game but this will give you more fps at the cost of minecraftifying your gmod.
