srcds missing from my dedicated server folder
srcds just disappeared somehow. all the other stuff is installed and when i do the 'app_update' thing in steamcmd it just says its up to date. so how do i get it back?

app_update 4020 validate

Validate will make sure you're not missing anything or have any corrupt files. If it doesn't come back, I'd install the GMod server to another directory and move your files/start script over.

alright I validated it but now I get the 'entry point not found' error for 'engine.dll' and I couldn't find any solution.

Try the other option I suppose, install a new instance of SRCDS and move over your old server's files. (Addons/Data/Lua/Cfg folders and your sv.db)

If you don't want to redownload all your addons you can move your cache folder too
