Stuck on "Starting lua..."

Now, I've posted this once before and it looks like several other people have had this same problem. I stg if I don't get a response I'm gonna go postal.

Whenever I try to load up certain maps, the loading screen stays on "Starting lua..." and never actually load. I doubt it's an addon problem, as some other maps work just fine. Whether or not they're just taking a REALLY long time to load, I dunno; after it takes too long (about 5 minutes or longer) I just get impatient and close gmod. Also, I can't really elaborate on exactly which maps load and which don't, but I can say that most TF2-related maps do this. (and before you ask, yes, I've validated the files on TF2.)

Just got to let it do it's thing. The server i've been trying to join takes 8-10min on starting lua. I just have an issue with redownloading lightmaps as soon as i get in.

Im dealing with the same error, and it happens two things, or it charges but i got timed out
Or is stuck to the point that i cant close the game and i need to turn off my pc touching the button
