Cant spawn things in friends private server

So i have this problem that when i join my friend private server i can't seem to spawn anything and no it doesnt have the admin shield on it its just when i click on the item it doesn't do anything no spawning just nothing only she can spawn things because shes hosting the server so its pretty much the same concept when i host a server she cant spawn anything so any ideas to why this is happening?
