Screen is flickering
I decided to log onto gmod today to play on a server that I liked, when I see that my screen had been experiencing a very annoying flickering glitch near the top of my monitor.

Gmod was perfectly stable yesterday, with nothing of this sort occurring. I’m worried whether its something to do with my monitor or graphics card.

I’ve verified file integrity, factory reset gmod, restarted my pc, and uninstalled and reinstalled. None of which have worked. Help?

A quick check reveals this glitch is existent across all my games....

Found it. Turn on vertical sync in your advanced video settings. It fixed it

hi, recently just got a gtx1050 laptop and got gmod, it was zoomed in all the way and had black screen flickering when it starts, it also flickers during npc battles. How to fix?

Mess around with the screen resolution to attempt to fix the zoom problem

For flickering, go into the advanced options in the video settings and activate VSync.

Report results please :)

Wait, I turned vsync on,applied it, nothing happened. I restarted gmod, went into options, vsync is turned off again. Could this relate to the fact that vsync doesn't stop the flickering?

Okay, this is going to sound like the weirdest thing you've ever heard, but I changed my game volume from full to half and then the flickering completely stopped... ???????????????????

Try enabling windowed mode if this happens again
