Verify cache, check mods.

The TF2 shotgun and HL2 shotgun use the same texture name (you can tell the cartoonish texture). Try disable any TF2 (for example, fixed shotgun for tf2) related addons.
1. I don't have the fixed TF2 shotgun mod
2. The glitch still happened even with TF2 unmounted

Uninstall the tf2 mounting bug fix, that worked for me.
