You are correct. You absolutely need to forward your ports. Specifically, port 27015 with TCP & UDP protocol. All routers are different, but you should be able to access it by typing http://192.168.0.1/ in a web browser. Here's my setup if you'd like something to refer to:

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=805008042

(My setup is slightly different because I am running multiple SRCDS servers, so you would just replace "27060-27075" with "27015-27015", and replace the internal/local IP address(Not to be confused with public IP address) with your specific computers internal address, which is most likely something along the lines of 192.168.0.10. Typing "ipconfig" in a CMD window will get you this information quick.)

Does it like change anything in terms of internet performance/speed?

Virtual servers sounds like something different, but I don't know. Mind giving your router manufacturer & model? I may be able to find some information about how it works.

Okay, so it turns out I was wrong, lol. Virtual servers is where you need to go. Just click add and you should be able to edit the entry to suit your needs.

Do i need to enter all parameters like WAN port, LAN IP adress (also how do i get that one? is it my pc IP?), LAN port (guess it will be 27015), protocol TCP and UDP or only one of them both?

Yes, you do need to enter all the paramaters. WAN port should be the same as LAN port. Protocal is TCP and UDP. And finally, to get your computers internal IP address, simply open up a CMD window(Press Windows Key+R and enter "cmd" into the run box). Then in the black CMD window, type "ipconfig" then look for the entry that says IPv4 address. Whatever is listed for that is the internal address of your computer.

Well then i guess that my router "doesnt support" forwarding or something. I tried to forward port 27015 and nothing happened, no effects at all. I will go ask my internet providers how to do it, maybe they have specific program or something for their router.

How did you come to the conclusion its not working, if you don't mind me asking?

Well i crewted virtual server with all parameters and started server, i can connect to it cause it is on same network as me but my ftiend from Slovakia can't, he said that it shows that server has 2000 ping and is not resoonding. Then i looked deeper into settings of router and found "special programs" section where you can like allow ports for internret or something like that was said in that page, i read more and it said that the section is for multiplayer games, conferrences and that stuff so i thought that it is maybe the right one. I created one and kept it running at same time as virtual server and nothing changed, restarted server, disabled virtual server and kept one running per time and still my friend couldn't connect.

P.s. i also read about what does my router support on its box and it supports port forwarding.

Is your friend connecting to your external IP address or is he just joining your game through steam? Because if you connect with your internal IP, chances are steam will report that address to anyone who tries to view your game info/join your game.

Edit. If you want to add me on steam, I might be able to offer some more help in direct messaging.
