Whenever I accidentally press the windows button, my game crashes.

You dont need to include the "i use windows" ; or the :p. I dont really think any linux systems (atleast outside of the gnome/ubuntu DE) doesnt even respond to the windows key.

Anywho, try reinstalling it.

The alternative is pulling the button out. The Windows button's function is forcefully opening the Start menu, which can crash certain things running fullscreen.

Thats also a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ solution. I havent really seen any other games that do this but i had this problem at one point.

I tend to make the game borderless windowed because alt-tabbing can be slow and clunky.
-windowed -noborder

EDIT: I think i saw something about this and its a graphics kinda problem. So it could be for other games but again i havent seen it (I have played various source games, from CS to CSGO). I wouldnt doubt it if it was just gmod, it's half life 2 mod made by the same guy who decided that rust genders were random.

I believe so. Your mods will re-download if deleted without subscription

Snake, I re-installed the entire game and it still crashes.

For me, it didn't crash gmod, but only closed it, and i used that a lot to go to my browser and download mods on-the-fly, but lately, the start menu button no longer closes it. garry's mod has since stopped responding to the start key
