Missing/Broken Smoke, Bullet Holes and Fire textures.

I've been experiencing an error that bothers me a lot, the bullet holes look too exaggerated, the smoke looks strange and it lag the game a bit, the fire looks like it's in the middle of it and you see half of it. Any solution? Thank you.

Alexfusin I have the same problem with the no bullet hole textures.

If I remember correctly it had something to do with either CSGO, or Portal 2 texture files, also known as "Content Addon Files". These are files that you download to fix missing textures instead of having to buy the the Valve source game for the textures and content. Some of those files for some reason will conflict with other specific files with similar names therefor causing these Errors. But if you do not have these files in the first place then I have no idea what the problem is.

To fix the smoke and fire you must go into all of the content addon files and delete any file that has the word "Fire, and Smoke" the bullet holes I unfortunately can't remember what files you need to delete for that, if I remember I'll let you know.

Uninstall any assets downloaded from gmod content websites, they usually mess with the default textures. Buy the official games when they're on sale, usually you can buy 15 for $15 on a good sale
