Microphone Sounds Like a Pillow HELP! (Pillow = Muffled)

I dont know what to do, when I test my microphone it only hits the first three bars in the voice tab of the "Options" menu. This only happens in Garrys Mod.

i dont think pillows make sounds. you mean it sounds like talking through a pillow?
