How to use my beats as a microphone

These beats that I have come with a little microphone thingy to speak into and whenever I plug it into the front or rear jack panel (3.5mm) for the microphone it never picks up my voice.

Is there a way to do this or must I have something else?

Beats arent even good for a mic but if you want make sure you check your voice settings and audio settings in the game options tabs

Beats arent even good for a mic but if you want make sure you check your voice settings and audio settings in the game options tabs

When I do "test microphone" nothing comes out and the test ends

In order to use headphones, you need one that required you to plug in a cord into the mixrophone port of a pc. Microphones on beats are not considered actual microphones and are not ment for gaming
