Tabbing Out Black Screen.

As the title suggests, whenever I tab out of gmod I get a black screen. No way to exit without turning off the PC. I want to fix tabbing out, it's just frustrating having to constantly restart my computer.

1) I have tried setting the monitor to 60hz from the default 59hz, didn't work.
2) Graphics drivers are up to date.

I am on windows 10, and have a AMD R9 390.

Can you Alt-f4 or control alt delete?
Also try using windows mode and then see if you can tab out from there.
I think one of the reasons why people get black screen when tabbing out is that they mess with their settings.
Also how long are you waiting before you restart ur pc to try and fix it?

Can't Alt F4 or control alt delete, both monitors turn black and its over.

I would use windowed mode but it worked before in fullscreen and I hate playing games in windowed. (If only they added windowed fullscreen, would be fantastic)

I keep restarting it and trying again back to back.

Has this always been the case? Before can you tab out/ windows tab?

I could do it before yeah, it's all recently breaking.

When was the last time it has worked? Tab glitches are sometimes graphic issues with drivers, to which you said was up to date. Other than that its just settings. Did you update windows, did you change a setting since that last time it worked, did you add properties to you GMod etc.

Yep

Open Steam
Go to the "Library"
Right-click the game which needs to be reconfigured
Select "Properties" from the menu
Click the "Set launch options..." button
Remove any launch options currently shown.
Type -autoconfig in the box.

Also just try windows mode and see if you can tab out.
