HELP ME my gmod is crashing to a black screen and never goes off

I have been having this problem for a long time, sometimes ill randomly be playing a game when all of a sudden my gmod crashes to a black screen, this screen stays on there until i restart my computer, after restarting sometimes it will be normal and other times i cant open up any icons.
needless to say can someone please tell me how i can fix this issue with my gmod crashing to that black screen or does anyone else have the same problem because id like to know if i am the only one who has this problem. It really sucks and i need to get rid of this issue. Thanks!!!

im pretty sure its not my computer stupid i have a gtx 950 and a i7 960 intel icore

Try deleting Gmod then reinstalling it.

This just happened to me, the game tends to randomly crash the whole computer from time to time.

curb your subscription addiction,
that is caused by a ♥♥♥♥ ton of addons and stuff
either
Upgrade your RAM
Delete your addons
Put addons into a collection for certain uses (posing, battles, vanilla for servers etc.)

Don't call someone stupid in that way, he did not know your specs and even if you have a expensive CP your mum bought from her extra stripper money those machines can still brake,
potatos brake often
Bitcoin miners brake even more often

and back to the topic,
look inside your PC tower (you know how to unscrew, right?)
see if your fans have dust and if so clean them.

If your mum actually bought that machine, it is most likely a used one, if so, too bad, those machines have been left for a reason, and the problem your into is most likely the reason...

first off its not Brake its break and second off I know your just yanking my chain but please dont call my mom a stripper

I guess that makes it fair for calling someone stupid for no reason, at least I had a reason to insult you

I am also Portoguesse which slightly limits my spelling

So is the CP a used one?

I heard the issue is caused by high temps in GPU's unattach it and clean the fans with compressed air (you have to buy it somewere) and don't blow in it or use a vacum.

If you get the same issue, you could remove the back plates of the GPU and clean heatsinks and clean off the thermal paste on the GPU core, and then add a diffrent thermal paste that's better. (Don't risk it if you don't know what your doing, ask someone else)
