Things to know

This isn't only happening to you, it's happening to everyone else too.

This is probably NOT something you can fix. It's very probably an issue with Valve's Steam servers.

What can you do

Nothing right now, just sit tight and wait. Please don't make another thread complaining about it. We know.

Fixes to try

Here are the known fixes currently;
- Join a server that was restarted and no one joined yet. Only the first player ever seems to be able to quickly connect to a server after it gets restarted.
- Just wait. Let the Authenticating with Steam do its thing. It might take a really long time, but apparently, eventually, it will let you in.

Post in this thread to keep it at the top so people stop creating thousands of dumb threads complaining about this issue.

Doesn't work. Believe me or not, "Authenticating with Steam" appears even on your facepunch server

And that's weird, it seems like you can only join if there are no players on. Very weird.

I'm sure this is doing sometimes only so players will join, then they will got kicked or leave and they can't join again.
