Garry's Mod is taking up 400GB of space..
Hello, so basically I have had Garry's Mod on my computer for roughly over 2 years now with over 1.5k hours played (Yes I have no life) and now it has gotten to the point where it is taking up almost 400GB worth of storage, which is effecting my computer and work space a ton. Any suggestions on what to remove? I went into my addons folder but it merely did anything whilst removing any unwanted files.
This is the screenshot of the storage - https://gyazo.com/a42433ef4ab4d79d853a68b67fd448ba
If you have any suggestions on how to fix this without uninstalling the game I'd appreciate it a ton, thanks in advance.

Unsubscribe and elminine addons that you are not using or too unnecessary
Are you using legacy addons/Extended Spawnmenu to use non workshop addons? Also eliminates several stuff that you are not using or too unnecessary
Delete the server folder in Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\downloads\server I would recommend you to start there first (I must assume that you have played on the servers and have downloaded a lot of "content" automatically

Hm strange, I deleted the server fold like you stated but and it said I removed like 300GB worth of storage but then I went onto uninstall and it still says that it is 398GB.

Have you checked how much storage is taking your addons folder?

uninstall all some of your addon, or just delete them all at the Steam App/ common / GarrysMod / garrysmod / addons also unsubscribe to make it don't redownload but not sure about this because everytime i want to delete some addons i have to unsub them first then delete them later

That's because when you delete the .gma, but you're still subscribed to your workshop addons the game detects that the addon is missing and re-install it again so it is always advisable to first unsubscribe

I've subscribed to a ton of addons, any fast way to unsubscribe to them?

Nope. Not to my knowledge. It's a painful process, but it can be done.

You to go to workshop-subscribed addons and manually start to unsubscribe all those addons one by one (or following the link that SpaceMarine(nathan) put) and later start to remove the unused/removed .gmas in you addons folder. Tto do it more quicky and less time checking gmas, open the console and put menu_cleanupgmas (this will Delete .GMA Files of unsubscribed/removed addons to prevent unnecessary memory usage aka "Purge you unused Workshop .gmas"

All good got rid of 350GB by just deleting the servers folder, I can handle 48GB, but not 400GB haha

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
