When i start my garrys mod server i keep getting this WS: No +host_workshop_collection or it is invalid!

does anyone know how to fix this?

It doesn't affect your server. It's just informing you that you haven't added it. If you want to get rid of it, just add +host_workshop_collection xxxxxxxxx and replace the x with your workshop collection ID.

I am having the same problem the collection ID is in the .bat file. Yet I still get this error.

You don't have a workshop collection added to your server is why. Also this post was in 2017

This might be your problem before you go through this hassle check if it says text file under the type.

Step 1: You set up your notepad to just say anything
Step 2: You copy the code
Step 3: You go to your control panel. You can do this by clicking where it says "Type here to search on the bottom left of your computer and typing "Control Panel"
Step 4: Click on "Appearance and Personalization"
Step 5: Click on "File Explorer Options"
Step 6: In the "File Explorer Options Window" Click on the View, tab
Step 7: Uncheck the box that says "Hide extensions for known file types"
Step 8: Hit apply
Step 9: Go back to your folder and rename the file that says start.bat and you will notice that it now says "whatever you named it".txt so you will want to change this to "whatever you named it".bat
Step 10: Hopefully it works

You mean check it it was unchecked and it didnt work

I know this post is a little bit old but if anyone finds this thread needing the same help, what you need to do is follow this guy I quoted above's method but in the xxxxxxxx area, put quotes, and make sure it's on the same line as your +map, +game, +gamemode etc etc. An example for what mine is, is: +host_workshop_collection "2320327326" --- just like that, make sure there are quotes around the id and then start the bat file, should start downloading everything to your server.
