HELP!MY GMOD FREEZES MY COMPUTER

I need help.When i am finishing loading my newly installed addons on the main menu,the computer freezes the screen and i can´t do anything.Not even Control+Alt+Delete.I have to shut off the pc and restart it,it is the only way.Please hlep me. :(

1. remove some useless addons, the more addons you have, the more things that need to be loaded, which means you will run out of system resources that the game can utilise and can probably end up giving you the issue you're facing now

2. make sure you close any background programs that you dont need open. If you use an anti-virus, i would remove this entirely because now-a-days you dont really need it because it just uses so much of your system resources and windows defender (or mac equivalent) does an amazing job anyways

Well i do have AVG,and i have removed the most useless addons i had.I went from 714 down to 674.I also want to get TuneUp Utilities so i can get rid of most of the garbage on my phone.

just get rid of as much ♥♥♥♥ programs and stuff as you can and it will free up more system resources. If you want to optimize windows 10, i'd take a look at this guide, it's actually pretty useful.

Well I've actually got mine fixed. Problem might be from one of your new addons. Could also be from one of the source games. Verify cache for each including Garrys Mod. Reload. Oh, and unsubscibe to the new addons you just downloaded. I had to factory reset my gmod, move steam apps folder, reapair and reainstall steam, drop old steam apps folder back into new steam apps and reinstall all games, boot gmod, make new save and finally turn back on steam cloud. Sucked major ♥♥♥♥ but its fixed.

Probably because I have 650 Gmod addons, 450 Cities skylines addons, 230 CSGO maps, Bluestacks with Plauge inc. Unlimted dna & All unlocked cheat, Simcity buildit, The sims 4 with 15 mods: 4 big, 7 Medium, The rest small, all of the cities skylines DLCs (AKA Every DLC but airports and most of the content creator packs) Half life source, HL2, HL2 EP 1, HL2 EP 2, CSS WarZOne, HL:blue shift, HL: Opposing force, Sid Meirs civ 5 with every dlc, And CIV 4 beyond the sword + A old minecraft installer and Unused OPERA GX
