Any way to boost microphone volume?

I have it all the way on high, I have boost microphone gain, and I made the volume 100 (Max) at my Microphone properties. It's still extremely quiet.

Assuming you're on Windows, type in your search bar "Manage audio devices", and then click on what shows up at the top. Then click the Recording tab on the new window that pops up and right click on the microphone you use. Then press Properties on the menu that pops up and then click the Levels tab on the new window that pops up. You can then modify your mic volume and also increase the bass if you need to.

The thing is, I already did that. I'm using a usb external audio adapter, since there is intense electrical interference and if I don't use it, then all i'll hear is static with everything.

Kind of odd how there's no bass slider, but have you tried going to advanced and unchecking "Allow application to take executive control of this device"?

yea on gmod the threashold is too high i have to speak pretty loud just for the mic to pick me up
