Connection Failed After 6 Retries [FIXED] [D

I'm having a problem with this server that I've played on for years. Today, when I tried to get on, I keep getting "connection failed after 6 retries". This has nothing to do with my internet, cause I can perfectly get on other servers no problem. It's not offline, cause there's about 8 people online (10:21 EST). I've validated game cache, reinstalled, turned off router and modem, rebooted my computer, and even updated all my devices. If anyone has a solution to this issue, please send them my way. Much appreciated!

I fixed it. Sorry that I wasn't sooner. I changed my clientport to 27006 instead of 27005. Just go to gmod properties and set launch options and type +clientport 27006

Your connection. It doesn't like mess with your internet, but it will allow you to go onto a different server's port. It also could be the fact that my friend's server was dedicated and didn't work properly, but if you're having the same issue as I did, then try it out. Not 100% sure it'd work, but it's a possibility.

Go into Garry's Mod properties in steam. Then go to Set Launch Options, then put in +clientport 27006 OR 27005 if your first port was 27006. To check this, go into your console in gmod and do the same thing, except the +.
