Portal 1 First Slice - Stops Between Levels 12 And 13
I have Portal First Slice, and bought Portal 2 several months ago. Portal 2 runs OK. But recently, Portal First Slice stops running beyond Level 12. I simply get a black wall when getting off the elevator at the entry to Level 13, and end up trapped at the elevator bay. Would someone be able to explain this, please?

I agree with that! By the way, I get the same wall without texture, it looks kinda weird :|
My system is ArchLinux 64-bit, and the game runs smoothly (even on Intel HD3000). Thank you Portal programmers! Just fix the wall please.

Here's screenshot of the wall: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=168043656

It's the end of the demo.

First Slice is the name of just the demo right? I have this same problem, so hopefully it wont happen when i get the full game.

Yea first slice is the demo. When you get the full game, it works.

Yeah cool. I was stressing a bit, but I played through all the levels on Portal and it works fine

Looks like they just removed all levels that come after 8:

no its because that is the demo I asked the owner himself at comic con

The Pwoner, that's how I said it: because it's the demo, they just removed all levels that appear after room 8. A little too raw ending for me. They could place an image saying it's the end of the demo.

Yeah, I thought it was a glitch too...

Did you really think that a demo would go on forever?

I think a demo should end like a demo - e.g. with a splash screen "That's all, folks", and not with a "glitch" wall that really looks like a glitch. Is it something so hard to implement? :)
