Will G-Mod work with this?

So i'm thinking about getting G-mod while it's on sale but I don't own HL2 or Counterstrike, will it work with just portal 1 and 2?

Yes, however Half-Life 2 Episode 1 and 2, as well as Team Fortress 2 content will not appear if you do not own those games. But yes, it will work.

wait, I bought portal and non of the portal content is in gmod. do i need to do something first?

In the main menu, click the controller button on the bottom right of the screen and make sure the box next to "Portal" is checked
