Portal won't completely get removed from my computer

Today when i tried to install portal, it started from 70% and i was like "lol seems like i've tried to download this before", but when i launched the gaame, GLaDOS's voice didn't play and i was missing some textures. I deleted the local files of the game through steam, but still the download started at 70%. I manually deleted every file related to portal in my steamapps folder with no luck.

My question is, where are these hidden files at?

If you have Gary's Mod, this may hold some of the files.

You also have files and saves in your user directory ~Steam\steamapps\USER\portal

The others are of GCF types. portal content.gcf and portal english.gcf, I think

Seseorang: Yea i noticed that there was some gcf files in there, and they were like orange box & stuff. Anyway i deleted all except tf2 and l4d2 because i don't wanna reinstall those.

The problem with the GLaDOS sound not coming up was because steam for some odd reason thought that Portal has finnish voice files (wich it doesnt) and tried to load them with no success. I set the language to english and waited a while (Portal started re-downloading) and once i launched it, the problem was fixed.

Left 4 Dead uses NCF which means the files will be in the "common" directory.

Team Fortress 2 will soon be reconfigured and moved to the "common" directory at some point.
