Are there meant to be any people left in Aperture Science?

Do you think there are still scientists left in Aperture Labs, behind the scenes? We don't really see the present-day offices and corridors, which is where all the people would be. I know GLaDOS gassed the place, but there must have been scientists left over to install the Morality Core. For some reason, I don't like the idea of Aperture being completely deserted of all humans (apart from Chell and Rattman), unlike Black Mesa which is full of people there to do the testing.

Well, by the very, very end of Portal 2, after the co-op DLC, it is revealed that all of the humans, with the possible exception of Rattman, inside the facility are dead. Chell has escaped. So alas, no.

Now, it is also revealed that there ARE still living humans in the facility at least by the end of Portal 1, but they are kept in stasis and are certainly not running anything.

Anyway, the Morality Core was installed before GLaDOS gassed the place, but obviously it failed.

theres just rattman and Chell, idk about other test subjects, i think they are all dead. no more scientists i'm pretty sure. we could find out in portal 3 i hope. it would be pretty cool if they're are.

If they make a Portal 3, it should be a prequel (kind of the mod for Portal 1, Portal Prelude).

well i don't really think so because i think all of the scientist were in the place where GLaDOS was made and she did gas her chamber., I wonder why ratman wasn't there.

rattman was near the door and the big door to go in GLaDOS's chamber goes slow so he could slide under before the others(1 theory) or he didnt come because he didnt like the idea of GLaDOS at the start

Also, I have it in good faith that Valve will release HL3 on their next engine. They've already mentioned having Source 2 in the works, so a trademark title would be a good thing to roll it out with.

Also, they've said in the past that they use Half-Life to show off new technology (during a tech demo leading up to Half-Life 2), so since they have a new engine on the way I fully expect Half-Life 3 to finally come to fruition.

Anyways there's still a few humans left but they can't survive a BLOODY two day's of testing!!! it's madness!, i'm starting to regret killing so many myself!

It's in the Half-Life universe. The planet has been taken over by aliens.

well... Thats changed how I look at portal now... :P
