Now, it is also revealed that there ARE still living humans in the facility at least by the end of Portal 1, but they are kept in stasis and are certainly not running anything.
Anyway, the Morality Core was installed before GLaDOS gassed the place, but obviously it failed.

Also, I have it in good faith that Valve will release HL3 on their next engine. They've already mentioned having Source 2 in the works, so a trademark title would be a good thing to roll it out with.
Also, they've said in the past that they use Half-Life to show off new technology (during a tech demo leading up to Half-Life 2), so since they have a new engine on the way I fully expect Half-Life 3 to finally come to fruition.
Anyways there's still a few humans left but they can't survive a BLOODY two day's of testing!!! it's madness!, i'm starting to regret killing so many myself!
