Lab Rat achievement not unlocking

This is just hilarious. No wonder any more why I have problems in other games, when Valve s own have problems with Steam achievements. I just unlock every last of them, but the easiest of them all, THE first which should be unlocked stubornly refuses to show itself in stats. When I enter the game it isnt shown in in stats. But as soon as level loads it appears in game stats, but after I exit it is not present in Steam stats. I can verify files, and load games as much as I want, but because ach is present in game stats it never pops-up in game. Wonderfull.

It sounds like the achivement server for portal is down when you attempted to unlock it so you may need to keep reloading save before geting it.

Like I said, when level loads achievement appears in-game stats. When I m in game s menu, and I click to display achievements, its locked. But when I load any level it appears in those menu stats, but never ever pops-up, therefore it never appears in Steam stats. In fact, I m looking at game s menu achievements window which shows 100% completion, and at the same time shift-tab Steam overlay shows its still locked with 93% completion. Probably game unlocks ach by itself in menu because it recognises that game is finished... Lost cause.

Well I have a similar problem... It involves the "Cupcake" achievement... It is shown in my ingame stats, but Steam doesn't display it... Anyone know how to fix this?

Steam support wasnt any help, just another usual message with solutions that aint worked in some other games. I ll try lauching this game from my friend s PC, I heard that this worked for some people in some other games.

Well, good news, finally. I ve managed to unlock achievement just now by playing the game from my friend s PC. I m writing this from it right now.
