It does not work work because mac is apple and apple sucks to the bottom of hell. They have no warrenty and there ardware is crap apple are probably blocking it.

Portal and Portal 2 crash as many times in a Windows machine; get real man. I don't use Macs at all, but we are quite fed up with all the crashes and freezes in the PC.

Glad you figured it out man, I am quite fed up with Portal and Portal 2 crashes on the PC as it is. It looks like they are both problematic, contantly having to "check the integrity of the game cache" etc. I am not planning to own either, my son has too many problems with them and I am the one who has to figure them out for him as he will make the worst tantrums about it.
