Does this game hold up visually?

Just wondering. Someone recommended I play P1 before P2 (is that true?), and I am worried the graphics in this game would be poor by today's standards.

Some of the textures in the game are repeated and are not as good quality so it looks less smooth. There is a bit of a difference between games but it isn't so bad that affects the gameplay. I personally played portal 2 first and found it great but if you want to completely keep up with the plot, I would say to play portal 1 first.

I made a mod to update the visuals to portal 2 level and make them both flow just like it was instantaneous.

i personally think the graphics are better in Portal 2

You have to complete Portal and Go on to Portal 2. Because you wont know whats going to happern. In P1 GLaDOS will give you some advice and in P2 she does not.
