HELP: No MenuFont in Loadup Menu

Hey there, I need help
I don't get any menufonts when I load up Portal.
I can hear them when hovering with my mouse over them.

System Specs:
Windows 8.1
ASUS P8Z77-V LX
i7 3770
GeForce 770 2GB
12GB RAM

Well it did not work unfortunately.
This is pretty frustrating :(
In a few days I wont have any internet anymore. I bought those games to have something I can do without having internet. Now i can't really enjoy portal 1 :(

A few days is probably not enough time to get any help from Steam Support, so try some of these general things:

Run once with the -autoconfig launch option.
Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
Delete Local Game Content, then re-install.

I tried autoconfig before, also safe mode.
How do I verify Integrity of Game Cache?
I will reinstall the game right now.

Reinstalling after installing Tahoma might have done the trick.

Sounds like you got it to work :)
The "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" option would be a quicker and easier thing to try before doing a full re-install. See here for details:
