Video Settings to Reduce Nausea While Playing Portal

I've never really had this issue with games before, but when I play Portal, I start to feel extremely dizzy & nauseous. Does anyone know how I could potentially adjust the video settings to prevent this feeling while playing the game?

There are some things you can try to reduce the effects of motion sickness:

• Increase the FOV (field of view) in Options\Video\Advanced.
  
• Sit a little further away from the screen.
  
• Don't play in a dark room.
  
• Reduce the mouse sensitivity in Options\Mouse.
  
• Use the highest quality video options that will allow your PC to run the game at a framerate of about 60 fps.
