playing for first time siance recent brain surgery.

it has been a unique experience that very few have had so i thought id share a bit.
Tuesday i had a brain tumor removed. i have been lucky enough to not suffer any motor/visual effects. and as fare as i can tell "memory" is in pretty perfect shape. ill grt to why memory is in qouttes.

cognitively is where im experiencing most my symptoms.
some wires are just refusing top send certain messages.

i just got passed the assume party position fire point. reaction times are off and i defiantly f up more then i had even on my first time playing as a kid. but im doing really well for most part. and things that get me stuck are very odd. im also jumping to other games while i go through this experience so ill give odd examples for some of this. there are moments where i "forget" basic game mechanics kinda thing in many games. you may not even notice you do these things instinctivly as you play normally if your like me. trying certian actions that just work in so many games that you probably try them and they do nothing but you dont even notice like ground pounding in a platformer opening doors just bumping into something to see what it does, every now and then something like that will slip my mind and ill know theres somthing there but its just not clicking. some times it can be that im looking for say a moon in mario thats two inches infront of me and i can see it and recognize theres something there and im looking for a moon there yet for what ever reason my brain says it cant find it till i bump into it.


most of portal i have a deep memorization of. yet the whole game feels kinda like it was rebuilt by somone with a near perfect memory. its all correct and all but feels slightly off, like my enteanal map is slightly diffrent size and proportions are all a little off. like this hallway is to long wasnet that a sharper turn ect. just gives this odd sense of being lost in a place you know to well to get lost in. vibe wise works.

i dont think ill try to fight glados yet dont think it will hold much interesting incite so may switch to another game to get some vibs on how this all feels and works, sorry for the rant just found it deeply intresting, and sorry for spelling and grammar had dyslexia before all this so im sure its awfull now.
