Overly... Creepy?

The game is great, but, unlike Portal 2, it has a creepy feel. Anyone else agree?

The ambient music is pretty creepy. The setting isn't really as creepy. I would think when you escape in Portal 2 to shut down the turrets and neurotoxin, the darkness, sounds, and Wheatley's light make it more spooky.

Valve is really good at creating creepy atmospheres. HL2 was also creepy.

The most creepy part is when you enter Rattman debe and you Hear the music. And the rattman voice

I think it's the atmosphere that's creepy, the combination of the music, behind the scenes areas, lack of humor, and the Ratman dens are darker, make it darker than Portal 2.
Also like Half life 2 had a dark atmosphere

Before Chell started going through the test chambers in Portal GLaDOS killed all the scientists in the lab with neurotoxin. The ghost of Ratman (who was insane) is going around the lab and you're the only one left in the lab trapped with robots and a robot that watches you all the time. I think Valve went for the creepy ambience on purpose. Being in that situation would be horrible.

Actually Ratman may still be alive in portal 1. Its his ghost in portal 2

Actually Ratman may still be alive in portal 1. Its his ghost in portal 2

I always thought he was dead in both, wasn't there things that happen during the game that show that he's alive?

I know a music video where ratman at the end sees chell get drag into aperture again, so he lives in Portal 1.. at least in this music video.. You as the player never see him but as you discover bts rooms with a bed or beans or water that looks like it wasn't here for longer than a week, i think that he walked the way you did via bts only a few days before you..

Anyway, so in the comic Ratman saves Chell after defeating Glados
by rerouting the life support to only Chell so she would live but everyone else dies
