Camera Shy isn't working
So, I've been playing Portal a lot lately, and I've gotten every achievement except for the challenge achievements and Camera Shy. I've tried 3 or 4 times. The first time I missed a camera, 2nd time I got all the cameras, but skipped chambers. Third time, I got all cameras, didn't skip any chambers, and beat the game. BUT, I died sometimes. So, it doesn't work I guess? So, I think I'm supposed to beat all the chambers, don't skip anything, not die once, not load the game, knock all the cameras, and beat the game. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, when I beat the game
trying to beat the achievement I just leave the game, but I can't save.
P.S. The achievements don't show up when I get them, but then do when I exit the game.:steamsad:

Do you mean you don't get on-screen notifications? If so, make sure the Steam Overlay is active: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9394-yofv-0014

While playing, you should check progress by clicking on "Achievements" at the main menu. It shows which ones are unlocked, and shows progress towards "counted" achievements such as Camera Shy (#/33).

Progress with Camera Shy is stored in the saved games, so you CAN die and you CAN load. The achievement unlocks when you get the final camera, so you don't need to complete the whole game.
Use multiple save games. Check the in-game achievements list after each camera/chamber/load to make sure the "count" is correct. If not, load a previous save.

Alright, I'm gonna try it. The only problem is it doesn't show count, but the Transmission Recieved achievement (an achievement I already have) does show count. I'll try playing though...

I feel like I have destroyed 33 cameras. I guess I will have to find a walkthrough.

I've had this problem too, it's not telling me when I make progress towards the achievement.

Also, are you supposed to get the ones that are on the walls you can't fire portals on? If so, how?

You can't get the cameras before you get the portalm gun, and the unportable walls. You should just look up a guide if you wanna find them all though.:steamhappy:

IIRC, Camera Shy only gives two on-screen progress notifications, at 11/33 and 22/33.

To see the count at other times, pause the game to see the main menu, click Achievements, then scroll the list down to Camera Shy. Note that this count is only shown on the IN-GAME achievement list, NOT on the Steam achievement list.

While Transmission Received radios can be found at any time in any order, Camera Shy must be done as part of one playthrough. Camera Shy progress is stored in save files, so when you launch Portal the in-game achievement list will not show a camera count until you have loaded a previous save.

For my case, the notifications don't pop up at 11/33 and 22/33, the count is not shown on the IN-GAME achievement list, it's like is not detecting the cameras at all, i will delete all my saves and try to end it in one run, thank you for your help

The achievements section in the main menu is showing 0/33 for me, despite me destroying all cameras multiple times. Is it just bugged?
