Chamber 16's time challenge is terrible

also the way the game handles collision is actually so bad I have a better chance picking the right number from 1-1000 than getting the same collision twice

Despite Chamber 16 being my favorite, I must agree with you: the only way to get a decent time is to use the Portal Bumping bug, otherwise it's just annoying to get the gold medal.

No it isn't the only "way", make a save before the door opens, and get better. Cheat if you want, but don't act like cheating is the only method that makes this possible.

I was just saying that it's annoying to get it the regular way, I've done it multiple times, and I just find the speed-running method better, and obviously more efficient. And it's my fault for saying "the only way", I was just exaggerating though, sorry.

I ended up portal bumping past the first door, the 22 seconds wasted on it made the rest of the chamber infuriating to deal with.
I was also losing time to inputs not being taken immediately when loading saves mid-chamber, I was 2 seconds off gold trying it the regular way until I gave up and used the bug.

Chamber 18 is actually worse too, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Going for these challenges has really shown me how janky some of the game is and so I no longer find enjoyment playing it.

You can break a camera in chapter 18 and jam it inside of the door that leads to the second part. When the door is jammed, you can place a portal onto the other side and skip the entire turret section.

I know, I just can't set it up leaning on the door fast enough.

Also I've been getting mad about things faster than usual from just being stressed overall, so that's sort of how this post came to be lmao I feel like such an idiot looking back at this.

I couldn't beat time challenge in same chamber w/out cheats, so in the end I used the cheat to beat it. It was impossible for me to pass through those 12 turrets in 52 seconds in normal way.
