Camera Shy

so when people say ya gotta do it in one run for this achievement, does that mean lo loading and dying? cuz ive done this twice now while yes i died like twice from stupidity

Dying and loading come under the same category, in other words if you reload a save (either manually or as a result of death), which saved before you detached a camera, then you have to do that camera again.

well it was after the camera got detached, but like got all the way to the 33 cameras and it still didnt show up. so thats why i asked if just dying impairs the run

nope, i even reloaded chamber 19 to re-get the last 3 cameras and still nutn

When you are playing, the in-game achievement list shows the count of how many cameras you have detached so far (for example, 26/33).

Check it regularly, and save often, in case a camera doesn't register properly.

Alls gud now, apparently achievement debug 0 saved me and i just had 6 more cameras to get

For me the count don't work on camera shy, i saw the count only in the radio achievements

IIRC, Camera Shy only gives two on-screen progress notifications, at 11/33 and 22/33.

To see the count at other times, pause the game to see the main menu, click Achievements, then scroll the list down to Camera Shy. Note that this count is only shown on the IN-GAME achievement list, NOT on the Steam achievement list.

While Transmission Received radios can be found at any time in any order, Camera Shy must be done as part of one playthrough. Camera Shy progress is stored in save files, so when you launch Portal the in-game achievement list will not show a camera count until you have loaded a previous save.
