custom valve intro?
how can i make it play a custom video instead of the valve intro on startup? i managed to do it with tf2 by placing my video in the "media" folder, then changing the "startupvids" file to say "media/mycustomvideo.mp4". this worked fine for tf2, but it doesn't work for portal! what is the correct way to do this?

U have to convert .mp4 to .bik using rad games tools.

i'll try that, but i was told you had to do that for tf2 and i didnt need to, i just had to change the script thing. so i thought it would be the same for portal

for anyone trying to convert to .bik
http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm
after extraction, open radvideo(32/64 depending on your operating system).exe, click on the video, and then cick B8INK IT!
