Thank you! I’ll look into it. I’m new to gaming on PC, so it would’ve never occurred to me that an external program was to blame.
Hello again,
I can't figure out what app might be the culprit. I took a couple screenshots, how can I send them to you?
I Solved it! It was, just as you suggested, a sound radar feature, part of the Dolby Atmos system for Lenovo Legion Laptops. After a couple of hours searching for similar problems on other laptop brands, i was able to figure it out. Thanks again for your response
To take a screenshot in a game with the Steam Overlay, press F12. For the various settings, go to the menu at the top-left of the Steam client window (Steam > Settings) and check the "In-Game" and "Cloud" sections. Note that each game has its own option to enable the Steam Overlay - in your Library, right click on the game and select Properties.
To get an uploaded screenshot to show in a post, go to your screenshots page, right-click on the thumbnail of the target screenshot, select "Copy Link Address", then go to your post, right-click and select "paste". If the "Copy Link Address" option is not available, open the screenshot then copy the text of the URL at the top.
Any Steam community URL of the form "steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=" will automatically generate a "widget" in a discussion post.
Open Lenovo Vantage, in quick settings, disable dolby, that'll fix it.
