Does Portal 1 run on Intel HD Graphics? :)

I wanna buy this game for a friend and her laptop has Intel HD graphics. When I search online, all the results and youtube videos are msotly about it running on Intel HD 2000,3000 or 4000.. her once is simply the standard INTEL HD so i am unable to find any info about comaptibiltiy. I thgouht I'd ask here in the community in case soemone can help. I know a demo is available but I want to surprise her. :)

It's not only because of the gpu (what's your cpu?) but

I had intel HD and when you keep Antialiasing off you can still set texture settings to high with ~30 fps for me :3

Yes, source games are known for running very well on low-end systems. I've been playing it on a 2011 pentium (sandy bridge) with intel hd graphics and it runs great, the same as the half life games.
