Portal
How does the Portal gun work?
I mean it in a game aspect. Like how it creates them in the game. And why they can't pass trough portals but Half Life Bullets can.

The physics of Portal is very hard to explain. They had to modify the Source engine's physics system to allow a certain weapon to be able to alter the environment. That's all I can explain.

You press the trigger and it create space distortions known as Portals, simple

Just a small joke, anyway the portal are still a part of the wall in the game

It makes sense to me how it works, but what really fascinates me is the images inside the portals. How it can reflect 3d models dynamically like that.

What do you mean by "reflect"?

Its a bit late but its called "Render to texture". There is placed a second camera which takes the sight of the portal and projects it on the portal texture on the wall. It works so simple because everything we see on our screen is 2D. But what I want to know is how the managed the physics.

I have no idea of the physics behind the portal gun. however, i just discovered about oh, 2 minutes ago. that if you shoot a yellow and blue portal both on adjacent corners right next to each other, and then aim at the yellow corner, which is closest to the corner of the wall, and fire a blue portal, the game will freeze and crash :D dont do what i did haha!
