Problems with 'Enter a reconstruction scene'
Hey, I've just gotten into Warehouse 36, but cannot progress further due to being unable to enter reconstruction mode. My laptop doesn't react to both mouse buttons being pushed (at the same time), and they don't offer to rebind this in the Keyboard section of Settings for some reason. Fellow laptop users, please help

I have not, and had to stop playing the game. If you figure it out please let me know.

I eventually went out and bought a mouse, mostly because I also got Overwatch. I played for about 5 hours and then I gave up because of a frustrating chapter. Not worth it

I encountered the same problem when playing for the first time this morning, but managed to figure out a workaround:

Go to C:/Users/youruser.name/AppData/Local/CallOfCthulhu/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor
Open up Input.ini
Find the 4 lines that look like this and update them:

ActionMappings=(ActionName="Reconstitution00",Key=Gamepad_LeftTrigger,bShift=False,bCtrl=False,bAlt=False,bCmd=False)
ActionMappings=(ActionName="Reconstitution00",Key=RightMouseButton,bShift=False,bCtrl=False,bAlt=False,bCmd=False)
ActionMappings=(ActionName="Reconstitution01",Key=Gamepad_RightTrigger,bShift=False,bCtrl=False,bAlt=False,bCmd=False)
ActionMappings=(ActionName="Reconstitution01",Key=Z,bShift=False,bCtrl=False,bAlt=False,bCmd=False)

This will map the required key combination to Z+Right Mouse Button

For some reason it looks like the game needs at lesat one mouse button and another key/button to work.

Thanks, Chusuk. in MintLinux, the file is here:

/home/YOURHOMEDIR/.steam/root/steamapps/compatdata/399810/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/CallOfCthulhu/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor

Turned out that was not the problem though - I had missed one of the items I needed to find and could not EXIT the reconstruction. Once I found it (the painting in the room where the fire started) the game graciously permitted me to leave. Still good to know though.
