Save system in this game is the worst I have ever seen
Like really - I know it is whine but I just have to get it out.

No save on exit? Wow - that is bad. Lost like 2 hours of gameplay because I expected it would save on exit. But ok - lesson learned, in worst case I can let the game run between sessions.

Saving at random times - I made it to the hospital and I just try to examine random stuff, that means I will get caught sometimes. It rolls me back - that is ok. But for the love of god - why does it save just sometimes when I do something?

How it does not save after picking medicine book? Then I explore, get caught - rollback, I dont remember if I got the book. I look for it again - cannot find it. So did I pick it before the last autosave when I moved the lever or I just cannot remember the correct room? Did I move that lever afterwards and then the game saved, right? Right?

Ok I found the book - lets move. Now I am missing the wheel. God. Where was the wheel again? Oh must be this room. No, not this room - get caught. Rollback. Look for the wheel. Move further - wait! I need to pick the book right? Or did the game save after I got it?

Right, lets backtrack - ha book! Wait, is that the same book or different one? I dont remember - there were 3 in total right? Or was it 2? Another book - is that the first one?

Get caught. Ok back for the wheel. Oh yes - the books, I must return for them. Damn I done this 10 times by now - not careful, caught. Rollback. Search for the books again.

Right - done with this game. Shame I missed the two weeks for refund.

Okay, the checkpoint system is a failure, you're right (not only in these game, by the way), but which game saves the progress automatically on exit it ?

Pretty much all games with "Ironman" modes (which do not allow you to save) and are using one autosave as the only for your game do "Save on Exit".

Even Checkpoints I could live with - but this game uses system where the game also saves sometimes when you do something. And this is the main problem I have with it.
Pulling lever does save, trying to pick lock saves, reading book does not, picking up item does not - does not make sense.

I would be perfectly happy with saving on checkpoints and all these occasions with option to restart whole mission.

Inconsistency and no way how to track what you have to do again after rollback killed it for me.

The most frustrating part, in my opinion, is the section inside the asylum, from where your character has to escape. Here the checkpoints are very far from each other. Except these point the rest of the game was doable, i think. I finished it two times and i am not one of these very patient patients.

You don't have to give it up completely, you just have to wait for a better day. Sometimes you are not in the right mood for such a game. Next time it will be better. I made the same experience.
