Call of Cthulhu crashes each time I run it
I just purchased a brand-new Dell 17, the specs are 11th Gen Intel Core i7 11700F 16 CPU 2.5 GHz, 16384 MB RAM, NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3070.
But as soon as I launch CoC, roughly 30-45 seconds later it crashes. Each time I start it up. No message, no warning, it just crashes back to desktop. I don't understand how this can be happening on such an advanced PC, if someone knows what's going on please give me some feedback

Are your drivers all up to date video, Windows etc. Have you done Verify integrity of game files in steam for COC.

You can try this

This PC is brand-new and everything is up-to-date. CoC ran on my computer that I got ten years ago where all the hardware was old. I did run verify integrity, tried to delete and re-install, and it still crashes each time I run it

If you have an Intel 10th of 11th Gen, it might be an issue with Unreal Engine compatibility. I was having issues with Man of Medan, this, and Song of Horror (all different crashes). When searching for the Song of Horror fix, I came across this GOG article. I followed, and now all 3 games are working for me. Hope this helps! https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019775837?product=gog
If you are trying to run it with high graphics resolution that is most likely the core of the problem. I ran it on Windows 10 and Windows 8 and I had to run the game at 1080x768 most of the time: even had to drop it to 800x600 a few times. If that winds up being the problem, you'll also have to keep the frame rate at 60 or below. This game does not like high-resolution graphics.....and it really does not need them anyway.

Thanks a bunch as this link from GOG appears to have fixed the problem I was having with my 11th Gen Intel RTX3070 running this game. Thanks again as I really wanted to play this :winter2019happybulb:

Mine also seems to crash out. Only bought it today on this platform.
:steamfacepalm:
Constant crashing for me, as well. I tried both the fix linked earlier and lowering my settings as far as they could go, but neither worked.
