For those of you encountering the dialogue wheel bug

Hey all, for those of you that have been encountering that Dialogue wheel bug where you can't select any dialogue options and restarting the game several times hasn't fixed the issue for you, if you have a gamepad try plugging that in, once it switches to gamepad controls you should be able to select dialogue options again.

It was a workaround for me when i encountered the bugs during my playthrough and allowed me to continue, then swap back to keyboard and mouse afterwards when i hit the next auto save.

Will it work if i play with keyboard and mouse, and have a controller always plugged in? (i have two controller that i never plug out, in addition of my keyboard and mouse)

I haven't tested it when you come across the instance where the glitches occur, but i do believe it should.

Any way to fix it without the controller? I'm stuck on the dialogue with Sarah in the hospital and reloading/restarting the game doesn't work at all.

If you've done it multiple times to no avail, maybe try verifying the game cache, I had it where multiple restarts didn't fix it for me so I had to resort to swapping to the controller.

In a game heavily depending on dialogue sections this is ridiculous that testing didn't find this bug. They need to patch this immediately. It's literally a game stopping bug.

I guess most people (like me) had a controller plugged in, solved it this way, and just don't complain. But it's true that it's unacceptable. Without a controller you can't finish the game. It's amazing the devs still haven't fixed it.

I had the Problem once, very late in the game. First I thought it was the game playing with me because I was very low on Sanity at this time.

Well it apparently is randomly fixed by trying reloading previous saves. I tried 3 times with no luck. 4th try, bingo it works.

I have the same problem and dont own a controller, so I am completely stuck. 8+ reloads have not worked :(

I had the same problem, I did not solve it completely but I think I have a way to get around it.
In my case, I have ejected all devices using bluetooth including the keyboard.
Thanks to this, I could choose dialogues using the simplest USB mouse

For keyboard and mouse users: You can get around this by pressing "E" to select the dialog option.
