Not getting medicine skill points

There's been a number of times where I find a medical journal or item and it says I should get a point towards the medicine progresses. But when I check it's the same as it was before. Am I missing something in that only certain medicine items actually give you progression or is this some sort of bug?

You not get points like other skills. Medicine lvl up when you find some medicine books. Just automatic up progression bar at some percents. Same Occultism.

it is very tiny progression. I think 2%?

I understand its multiple points between the 1 to 5 skill point progression. however there was a number of times where I had 1 skill point to to unlock the next upgrade then would find a new medicine book only to still say 1 skill point to the next upgrade.

I don't think each book you find translates to exactly one skill point. Instead, look at the percentage number listed above the progress bar.

Skill points do 5% progres books 2%(think some books give more), game does not calculate to say you need 0,8 CP.(CP=skill point)(5%=1CP)
Books does not give CP they give %.

I haven't noticed the percentage change until I would actually get a skill upgrade.

It's not a bug, you progress only by a fraction of a point each time, I think one fifth of a point. Please don't spread misinformation, youtubers are not the sharpest tools in the shed anyway.

I wasn't sure if it was or was not a bug. Was just trying to clear it up.
