Best Lovecraft game?
In your opinion what is the best game I could buy? I care more about loree than anything else.

#2 Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem, without a doubt. It's like Cthulu Resident Evil.

Not this game. This is probably one of the worst Cthulu games. I would rather play that Cthulu game by Bethesda that's broken than this.

Stygian - Reign of the Old Ones. I own it on GoG, and I'm REALLY enjoying it. It's got some flaws, as with any game, but it just oozes with atmosphere and theme. Looks pretty replayable too with different character builds and allies. If you're not looking for AAA graphics and have patience for reading, give it a go. Bought it on sale for half price, but I would have bought it for full price for the amount of Lovecraft goodness I'm getting out of it.

Summer Sale's in a month so keep an eye out for these. Especially the first if it's the lovecraft lore you care about per se.

Thanks, I'll definitely check them all out. I enjoy the lore more than anything.
I wish Eternal Darkness wasn't aging so quickly. I'm sure it's a chore to get younger gamers into that old type of game and have them enjoy it. Granted it still gets proper respect if it's name is dropped in a forum but for how long before people start complaining about fixed cameras and early 3D combat?

Dark Corners of the Earth is one of the best games ever. A hard one though. Great adventure game with a great sense of immersion. There are some compatibilty problems though with modern systems, it can be impossible to run it on a recent computer and possible on another recent one.

Conarium was a great surprise, more than a walking sim, there are puzzles and readings, with an original story linked to lovecraft's lore. The game looks great and the immersion is complete.

Dark Corners of the Earth by a mile

You are straight-up lying if you claim Dark Corners of the Earth is better than this game. This Call of Cthulhu had like two segments that made me wish I had never installed it, whereas Dark Corners of the Earth was like nothing BUT segments that made me wish I had never installed it. This game IS probably the best Call of Cthulhu game, though I confess when I watched a friend play through Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem years ago I acknowledged it was pretty rad as well.

For the record, Penumbra: Black Plague may actually be my personal favorite Lovecraftian game. They fixed the awful combat from the first game but had not yet gotten too abstract and obnoxious like the third game (I might recommend the Amnesia games but the camera movement always made me ill in the intro)

There's The Sinking City I want to try, but I don't know if it will ever come to Steam or GoG.

I really enjoyed The Sinking City. It has a really familiar feel to this game. It does currently seem to be an Epic Games Store exclusive title tho. Not sure when it's coming to Steam.
