how many endings?

so i just beat the game and chose the "correct" answer at the end and was greeted with a massive tease ( figurtively and literaly haha!) first off. loved every second of it, i don't understand why critics said the begining as "dragged on and boring" its build up!

but i have to ask are there more then 2 endings? and do you get special perks for maxing stats? and if i level ocult up to max will i get a better veiw of the big man himself? he looked......amazing

Imho the beginning (chapter 1-4) was the best part of the game, plus the awesome endings.

I had three possible endings but there seems to be at least one more.

My options were summon, counter-ritual or 'it's over'.

To trigger the 4th ending you need to be have master rank with occultism

oh see i didn't have that extra option, but then again i only had 3 levels in the ocult by the end

I edited the game with CE to get Occultism to max, didn't get the "fourth mythical ending"

BUT !
Personally I think you need to collect all the books to get occ to max (not just edit it like in my case) and read all of the "forbidden" books. Maybe then it will work.

But then again - who said the game has four endings? The fourth one should be out by now, and nobody even came close to know what to do to get it.

when you did edit the game like that were you able to read the weird text optinos that appered later in the game? they said SAN output aquired? or something like that, might be a bug honestly

but it doesn't mean that having max ocultism doesn't allow you to read them, but im asking because near the end there were 6 options of them and i could not understand any of them

So far I've seen 4 ending, and all have nothing to do with having ammo or max occult at the end.

1. It's over: Pierce refuse the ritual and Sarah just says then no one can force you then jump off the cliff.

2. Suicide: Pierce shoots himself

3. Perform counter ritual: Pierce is
driven insane, Dr. Fuller appears alive and well and comment on his treatment so no idea if anything in the game even happened.

4. Perform the ritual: Everyone go berserk and start killing each other. Cthulhu summoned.

I was too insane so i only had "Counter Ritual" and "Perform The Ritual". After checking out the other two on youtube, I'd say "Perform The Ritual" and "It's Over" are the best endings. Might do a run in the future where i do my best to avoid everything that can drive me nuts to get "It's over"
