Do I need to explain how skill checks work and the basic logic behind them? If you have enough of Skill points and high enough percentage (in game form) you will always succeed.
Also you could invest all starter points into Investigation skill.
God, modern gamers can`t use their brains for shiz besides memeing and quickscoping.
I managed to trick the guards at the warehouse but failed to open the door so i own cat a favor now (bad feeling about this).
There was no way to try open the door again and the only savegame was overwriten, i dont know if i should like this system or hate:)
From what i have seen so far the save system at this game could cause a lot frustration.
I feel the same about the saving.
I invested in Spot Hidden, psychology, and Investigation at the start. Opening the grate was a snap (I was lucky in attaching things in the correct order, I'm guessing) and had no dealings with Cat until later.
Someone else posted about elements in the harbor that I completely overlooked, but since the plot jumped to the mansion through a cutscene, I feel slightly "cheated" for not knowing when it was safe to explore without ramping the plot forward.
Reading that there are entire sections of gameplay I missed out on means forced replay of the entire game, I guess.
There was a encounter with a monster which was giving a malus to my sanity, i think its better to avoid this.
The optimal way would maybe be to trick the guards and have luck with lockpicking the door (hard to handle:)
