Since I don't think is fair to consider bying this game if we have it already. Why not give us a key of the other version or still get the same updates on this one? this is not good customer treatment. Will think twice of supporting this type of behaviour in the future.

Because keys are limited by Valves. I agree, Valves should give a new key to all users of the previous version.

You can make it something like a 100% off for the owners of the previous version. There are many ways to do it. I have also gotten a key from a developer recently it's a similar issue there are ways to do it.
