Choppy playback?

Hey guys,

So I've just got back from holidays and decided to create a video from all the footage - however annoyingly all the videos are having really bad choppy playback (when I preview them). I figured it might be the computer as it hasn't been used for 3 weeks, but I've tried it in several other programs and the playback is completely fine.

I even tried the other videos I've imported before the holiday, and before they were fine but now they have choppy playback too.

Any tips?

if you figure this out lemme know. i just got a google pixel phone and put a file into it expecting to edit it like i would any other video and it's super choppy. it plays just fine in windows video player.

This is a dang old as heck thread, but I've been having the same issues constantly. So far, the only fix I've found is uninstalling Magix completely via steam and reinstalling it when it pulls this. Sometimes a soft restart works, too.
Unfortunately, all of the tutorials online are for the digital version, as the steam version of Magix was discontinued. I think it's best to just buy another program : /
Replying 'cause I know there's probably like four people in the world who may have this issue as well. This was a good program, worked nicely, but when the program suddenly disappears off an entire store platform that can kinda ruin it for everone.

yeah this is old. i did nothing and my issue just resolved itself.

Yeah. It really is just a roll of the dice with Magix. It's great but sucks. Lol.
