Broken Boss?

I've been at this for a little while and I'm not even damaging him. Bites don't work. Stomps don't work. Fire doesn't work. Falling blocks don't work. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the game? I'm on a Mac if that helps. Anyone else having the same problem?

Have you tried knocking some of the loose masonry down (using stomp attacks) so that it hits the knight on the head?
