Epistory - Typing Chronicles

I don't understand why there are so many typing games without onscreen keyboards/hands
Is there some simple mod or solution to this? My kids range age 4-12, and school is of course terrible. They learn on chrome books, they don't teach kids home row typing, and they don't understand the fundamentals. I personally don't really use home row, but I know 100% for a fact that the fastest typists on qwerty do.

When I was growing up, we used Mavis Beacon, which simply has a great little feature. It shows the keys ONSCREEN, and it shows virtual hands ONSCREEN, so that kids don't have to constantly look at their hands.

Zero steam games that are typing games do this, and simply assume either some base level of knowledge, or just hope you fend for yourself. I think this is a huge error.

This game is not a game to teach typing.

Also, an onscreen keyboard would be too slow for the game.
OP is talking about an onscreen reference. Not enabling play on tablets.

Check out Typing Land - on Steam, android and idk what else.
Unlike most games that assume you're already OK at touch typing, that one is meant to teach you from the beginning.
Despite having a good amount of experience with various typing games, I'm playing that one to hopefully help me with my accuracy.
Not an educational game. The reason it assumes some base level of knowledge is because it's a game for people who already know how to type.
